Dear Tom:

Would you consider Spurgeon an "expositional" preacher?

I am removing your post. If you or others have a problem with a brother, Christ's instructions are very clear about how to proceed in pursuing resolution.

I would consider Spurgeon an extraordinary preacher. There are few Extra-Ordinary preachers. Most preachers would be smart to stick to the text and preach it the way the Holy Spirit wrote it. Expositional preachers do this. I would be careful about using the exceptional to establish the normative.
