Amazing Grace over Florida launches

Nearly 3000 copies of the "Amazing Grace: The History and Theology of Calvinism" were put in the mail today and should be landing in the mailboxes of Florida Baptist pastors over the next few days. Please pray that the Lord will use this effort to promote a clearer understanding of His Word and will encourage a rediscovery of the glorious doctrines of grace that were once widely held among the people called Southern Baptists.

Thanks to everyone who participated in supporting this project. We have not quite met all of the anticipated expenses, so if you would like to give to this, there is still a need and an opportunity to do so. Simply use the button below.

Praise God, brother.

May God's sovereign grace go forth - in the mail, and in the heart of Florida pastors so that they'll watch the videos and search the Scriptures!

Please express to your people at Riverbend my great appreciation for their participation in this to help make it happen. May God cause your investment to be multiplied many times in the cause of reformation and revival.

I guess it's too late to get a pastoral position in Florida to get the greatness in the mail.

I guess I'll just have to hit up the SBTC guys so we can share the love in the Lone Star State.

Keep up the good work!

Tom,
I will be praying for the Holy Spirit to open eyes/ears to see the beauty of the wonderful doctrines of grace in the DVDs as they have this nagging desire to watch it through one more time...then another...etc!

Thanks for taking the time to talk with me at the conference concerning doing something similar here in Texas with the SBTC. I think the sermon by Mark Dever (Founders Breakfast...?) that you mentioned would be a good thing.

If you are reading this Roy Hargrave...thank you also for your time. Your passion and sincerity were evident, and you were a personal inspiration for me.

Hey Gunny...let's proceed with something of this nature here in Texas! I think we could garner support for this in the Lone Star state. I am...

...Grateful for Grace!

Praise God. I pray that your efforts will be met with success.

Not to rain on your prarade, but let me tell you what happened when I gave this to a member of our congregation. It was given back. Anyone taking odds at how many will be returned, or thrown in the garbage? The mere mention of the doctrines of grace in our congregation was met with bared fangs and sharpened knives. The idea that our church should honor its own constitution and teach the history and doctrines of orthodox Christianity evoked cries of elitism and arrogance. The status quo appealed to the cause evangelism in ignorance as if ignorance glorified God.

May God have mercy on your efforts. May he richly bless you. He makes it to rain upon righteous as well as the wicked. May the rain bring healing to those who need a physician.

I am sure many will be trashed. But I am praying many will be watched and evaluated in the light of the Bible. Pray with us to that end!

Coming at this as a non-Calvinist (at this time), I enjoyed the historical doctrinal section. I thought it was well done and gave me some new thoughts.

That kind of study would be profitable for all of our major doctrines.

Dr. Tom:

I look forward to hearing more updates as people watch the videos and are impacted by the truth of Scripture!

May God's Name be continually glorified through His truth in His Word,

Amazing Grace: The History and Theology of Calvinism is a DVD produced by The Apologetics Group.

I recently helped to remaster the DVD and I have about 100 copies on hand for the special price of $12.95 -- a great deal for a four and a half hour presentation.

Here's a description of the video and ordering information.
