Founders Fellowship during the Shepherd's Conference
I plan to attend the Shepherd's Conference next week in California. It looks like another great line-up and Founders will be giving away another free book. On Thursday night, after the last session, Founders is sponsoring an informal get-together at the Airtel Plaza Hotel. If you are planning on attending the conference and want to spend some time hanging out, plan on joining us. Below are the details, along with a map and directions. The hotel is only about 15 minutes from the church.

Scott and I will be there. We will also have with us Rusty Bowser who pastors a church not far from First Baptist Church, Clinton, Louisiana and is good friends with Fred Malone. In fact, I was preaching in San Diego a few weeks ago and Fred's son visited the church I was preaching in that morning. ...small world.
I am sure Founders cannot afford to GIVE away copies of Tom Nettles' BY THIS GRACE AND FOR HIS GLORY (20th anniversary edition) but I am confident you will tell all those in attendance about this very important book.
I will plan on being there. This is my first Shepherd's conference and being from Colorado, I haven't met any of the Founders guys. Myself and my youth pastor will join you guys for some great fellowship. Thanks for the invite Dr. Ascol.

I wish we could give away a copy of Nettles to every attender. We are giving away another book that you appreciate, Curtis Thomas' Life in the Body.
A great idea, though I'm sad I will miss.
Perhaps this could be a recurring bit at such conferences?
I would have loved to have hooked up with some Founders types at Together for the Gospel last year or at either of the last two Desiring God pastors conferences.
By the way, don't forget to root for the Ags in the tourney.
Who'd have thunk it that the Ags had more hope in their basketball team than their football team for national success?

I am sorry you won't be there. We may try to do this kind of thing more often.
Regarding the Ags, it is a shame that we don't get many of their games down here. I have to check on them to see where they are in the tourney. But we will be pulling for them!
